Priyanka Chopra Jonas has become the first Indian actress to be honoured with a spot in Gold House’s second annual A100 list of the most influential Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs) in American culture.
Chopra is being recognised for her cross-cultural impact as a performer, along with her philanthropic endeavours with UNICEF and other causes. The list releases annually on the occasion of AAPI Heritage Month. This year’s fashion, media and entertainment honourees also include Hasan Minhaj, Prabal Gurung, Lilly Singh and Mindy Kaling.
Currently, Chopra has a lot more to look forward to professionally, with ‘The Sky is Pink’ releasing this October, a comedy film with Kaling and a possible film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The actress will also be attending the Met Gala with husband Nick Jonas.
