Priyanka Chopra keen to cast Alia Bhatt

Priyanka Chopra is keen to rope in Alia Bhatt for one of her home productions. Chopra has reached out to Bhatt and is awaiting a nod.

Chopra who has not been seen on the Indian screen for a while is planning two productions under her home banner. For one of the productions, the story revolves around children and stray dogs and requires an A-list actress to do a few special scenes. However the actress-producer was finding it difficult to find a leading actress willing to shoot for four or five scenes and even expressed disappointment at the lack of interest by the top actresses to do the role, according to DNA India.

The actress then reached out to Bhatt who is a fellow animal lover to discuss the role. Although Bhatt liked the idea of the project she has not given any official confirmation yet, as it appears the actress’ dates are blocked for a number of films including Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’ and Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’.

Whether Chopra can convince Bhatt to spare a few dates remains to be seen.
