Priyanka Chopra “happy” for Deepika Padukone on Hollywood debut

Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone’s friendship is almost too good to be true but they do genuinely seem extremely fond of each other. With Chopra making considerable waves in the West, Padukone is also getting set for her big Hollywood debut with Vin Diesel. Chopra has said she’s happy for her ‘Bajirao Mastani’ (2015) co-star.

According to Pinkvilla, Chopra said in a recent interview, “I last spoke to Deepika after I saw��Bajirao Mastani��and I was super excited. At that time, she was on a vacation and it was very late in the night when I spoke to her. I haven�۪t had the chance to speak to her again after the news of her Hollywood film but I am very happy for her. She is a great artist and a total movie star”.

“I am sure XXX will be good for her in the same way as it will be good for the movie to have an actor like Deepika,” added Chopra.

Chopra herself will be presenting an award at the Oscars later this month having won everyone over with her performance in American show ‘Quantico’, a second season to which has already been announced.
