Priyanka Chopra favourite for ‘Bajirao Mastani’?

Sanjay Leela Bhansali sure likes to keep his audiences on their toes. As he prepares for his next big project, rumours as to who will sign on his dotted line are in full swing and it looks like the list will keep growing. It has emerged that Priyanka Chopra is now favourite for leading lady in ‘Bajirao Mastani’.

The film revolves around the true story of��Peshwa Bajirao and his mistress Mastani. According to��Times of India, the latest name to emerge as front-runner is Chopra, who is rumoured to be in the running to play Bajirao’s first wife Kashibai, however, nothing has been confirmed.

It has been said that Salman Khan was the first choice to play the protagonist but when this didn’t work out, the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Ajay Devgn were all said to have been in line for the part. Looks like it’s another waiting game for all those film fans.
