Priyanka Chopra collapses on sets of ‘Bajirao Mastani’

Recently, Priyanka Chopra tweeted that her role of Kashibai in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ is her toughest yet. News has it that the actress was in the middle of an intense scene for the film and collapsed on Friday at FilmCity.

According to Mumbai Mirror, Chopra was in the midst of a four-page monologue when she was feeling dizzy. A doctor is believed to have been called and the shoot was delayed by six hours.

“Everyone present was very scared. Her face was sprinkled with water and thankfully she opened her eyes quickly,” said a source from the unit.

The source added, “Plus, this particular scene, during which she fainted, took 10 retakes. Kabhi light barabar nahin thi, kabhi kisine sync sound disturb kar diya. Add to this the heavy lighting on the sets and the four-page long monologue. The process was very physically draining”.

The actress will be starring alongside Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the film which is a period romance.
