Priyanka Chopra approached to play Sarabjit Singh’s sister?

Earlier this month, it was being said that Omung Kumar directed film on Sarabjit Singh would star Kangna Ranaut as Dalbir Kaur, Singh’s sister. Now it’s emerging that it could be Priyanka Chopra that bags the role.

Apparently, Kumar has mentioned to producer Zeeshan Qadri that he is keen on casting Chopra for the role which would then see him reunite with her after award-winning ‘Mary Kom’ (2014). A source said to Hindustan Times, “The makers have a couple of names in mind for the pivotal role, but now, they are trying their best to bring Priyanka on board”.

Qadri also commented, “It�۪s up to Omung to decide whom he is comfortable working with. He suggested Priyanka�۪s name, among others, and we have talked to her too”.

Chopra also spoke about being approached, “Omung spoke to me about that (the film), but I will decide next year what I will be working on”.
