Priyanka�۪s not the reason behind Barfii�۪s delay
B-Town had been abuzz with rumours that the release of UTV�۪s much touted Ranbir starrer ��Barfii�۪, had been delayed due to the film�۪s leading lady Priyanka Chopra and her dates going haywire. Word was that some major chunks featuring her had to be re-shot and that she had been unavailable to give the necessary dates to can those shots due to clashes with her already choc-a-bloc schedule.
���Nothing is getting delayed because of her, she has given a lot of dates,” said Anurag Basu in an interview to India Today.
“I have been denying it again and again but these reports keep cropping up. She has already finished her work, only two days work is left and it is merely patchwork, it’s me who wants to shoot in those two days,” he went on to add.
It is not clear whether ��Barfii�۪ will release as planned on 13th July and clash with the Saif-Deepika starrer ��Cocktail�۪, or whether it will be postponed to come with the Akshay-Sonakshi starrer ��Joker�۪ on 31st August.
��Barfii�۪ recounts the story of Murphy (Ranbir) ��� a deaf, mute character who can�۪t pronounce his own name (hence Murphy is pronounced ��Barfii�۪) and his love story with an autistic girl (Priyanka).
Priyanka�۪s next release is Kunal Kohli�۪s frothy love story ��Teri Meri Kahaani�۪, which sees her with rumoured ex-flame Shahid Kapoor. The film is due to release on 22nd June.
