Priti Menon is known for her beautifully melodic voice and she has been known to collaborate with a number of talents in her music career. She’s most recently heard in Bally Sagoo’s latest album, called Next Level.
Menon shared, “Bally Sagoo has had a major influence on my musical career given the number of times I’ve performed along the backing tracks of Aap Ki Nazaron ne and Noorie. So to witness my name appearing twice on his latest album, is nothing short of a dream!”
“The first time I worked with him, was at London Mela in 2013 where I performed his classics Choli ke peeche and Noorie on the main stage with him. I was spotted through my songs on YouTube. I remember fangirling when I actually got to meet him for the first time! We’ve stayed in contact since,” she went on to say.
The album is a mix of what Sagoo is known for and also some freshness. Menon continues, revealing that Sagoo had spoken to her in 2019 for the album, “When he approached me, obviously I couldn’t say no! He sent me a few demos to record, to see which song would suit my vocal range. I was so surprised when I got picked to sing 2 songs on the album, one of them being a refix of a one of his all time classics (Tu Aaja Nachle)! The other song (Mascara) is an original. Both these Punjabi numbers are so different from each other, which is what makes it so special for me.”
