The Kolkata International Film Festival will be celebrated rather differently. News has it that 48 in-mates, from��Kolkata’s Presidency and Alipore jail, will be performing for some of Bollywood’s big names during the event.
Directed by choreographer��Alakananda Roy, the inmates will be performing an extract from��Rabindranath Tagore’s dance drama ‘Valmiki Pratibha’. Times of India��report Roy stating, “All of them are very excited and feel honoured to be invited for this show. Although they have performed on stage earlier, this one is going to be more special given the high-profile audience. They could never dream of something like this.”
The film festival, which will be taking place at the Netaji Indoor Stadium, will be attended by Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Mithun Chakraborty, Katrina Kaif, and Anushka Sharma.
