Prime TV has acquired the UK television rights for the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League 2018/2019 season.
The Twenty20 cricket tournament is now in its sixth season. It was earlier expected to start on 1st October but due to security concerns surrounding the Bangladesh general election, the series was re-scheduled to January 2019.
Bangladesh Premier League has previously aired on NTV Europe and Premier Sports. Prime TV also broadcast the Bangladesh Premier League in 2016. Incidentally, Prime TV has been successful with its cricket coverage on the back of the Pakistan Super League, which returns in February.
Bangladesh Premier League starts on 5th January 2019.
