Prime TV reaffirms stance over PSL 2017 UK rights

Popular British Pakistani entertainment sports channel, Prime TV has reiterated that it will broadcast this year’s Pakistan Super League despite claims by rival broadcasters.

The channel, which broadcasts free-to-air on Sky 792, is seeking a high court injunction to put into place against A Plus Europe and UK 44, who have announced via its UK marketing agency, Evolution Media Network that they have the exclusive UK telecast rights for the tournament. 

Prime TV has been broadcasting on-air promos heavily over the past few months to inform viewers and advertisers that THE Pakistan Super League will air as planned from 9th February 2017. Furthermore, Prime TV has reaffirmed that it currently holds a 3-year exclusive UK rights deal for 2017 and 2018.

It is claimed Prime TV has already suffered huge financial losses as direct result of A Plus Europe, UK 44 actions. Prime TV continues with its actions against UK 44, A Plus Europe and Evolution Media Network. They are yet to respond to the notices issued by Prime TV.
