Prime TV in syndication deal with Dawn News

The UK’s free Pakistani channel Prime TV has informed BizAsia.co.uk of a syndication deal it has struck with the Karachi based broadcaster Dawn News.

In this development, Prime TV will broadcast up to five-hours of Dawn News programmes per day, enhancing the channel’s Pakistan current affairs and news output.

Dawn News is a subsidiary of Pakistan Herald Publications Limited (PHPL), Pakistan’s largest English-language media group. It launched in Pakistan last summer.
The flagship show of the channel will be the hour-long ‘NewsEye’ show. Hosted by former BBC presenter Saima Mohsin. ‘NewsEye’ will bring viewers a round-up of the day’s breaking news along with special investigations and interviews that will hold accountable.
‘NewsEye’ – Monday – Friday at 21:00

The first ever Pakistani English sports programme ‘The Late Swing’ is a show that will focus not only on the sports in Pakistan but sports from all over the world.

The First Blast on Prime TV
‘The First Blast’ is Dawn News�۪ flagship feature show presented by Sahar Ali, Amina Jennifer and Shazieh Gorji. The show focuses on bringing to light concepts and topics that affect daily life. It will also provide a forum for women to voice their concerns.
‘The First Blast’ – Sundays at 09:00

Two other current affairs shows will be commencing on the channel called ’30:30′ and ‘Talk Back’.

The changes come into effect from Sunday 23rd March.
