Prime TV abruptly goes off-air on Sky

British Pakistani entertainment channel, Prime TV has abruptly gone off-air.

Prime TV had only returned in June this year after being off air for three months. At the time of filing this article, Prime TV was broadcasting at zero level (black screen).

Incidentally, Prime TV’s ratings on Wednesday (6th November) had shot up to a share of 0.05%. The channel has been broadcasting a number of classic Bollywood movies during prime time, giving the channel a huge surge.

However, some movie titles have been questioned by the industry, including ‘Hero’ (1983) and ‘Coolie’ (1983), which belong to ZEE Network. Similarly ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar’ rights lay with Sony Pictures Network.

Prime TV is expected to be removed from the Sky EPG. It currently sits on EPG 762.
