Pria Rai announced as new BBC Newsbeat presenter

Pria Rai has been confirmed as the new BBC Newsbeat presenter.

Rai will be heard across BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 1Xtra and BBC Asian Network.

Rai joined the BBC in 2017 as a broadcast journalist for BBC News, BBC Asian Network and World Service.

BBC Newsbeat is the network’s news bulletin, which is simulcast across three radio stations.
