Prernaa Arora on films dispute: “I was getting bullied & cornered”

After having a number of disputes with various filmmakers, producer Prernaa Arora of KriArj Entertainment, has went on to claim that she felt she was being bullied in her position.

In an interview cited in The Asian Age, Arora said, “Honestly, I am extremely scared right now. I have gone through a tough phase. I was very gutsy, but right now, I am too scared.”

Arora, who has backed out films like ‘Kedarnath’, ‘Parmanu’ and ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’, will be announcing three new films in June. She said, “I should have waited till Pad Man or Pari released and then taken on other films so that I could focus. I also went overboard and became a little overconfident. I believe there were people who were jealous and they jumped in to do things which were unreasonable. I was very hurt.”

Asked if she had financial dispute with the filmmakers, she said, “No, it’s not true at all, because we have paid everyone. Kedarnath happened and then people took advantage of my situation.”

She said, “You get bullied for sure. You could be intelligent, but some people can’t take that and try to pull you down. They can’t accept a woman doing well. I felt I was getting bullied and cornered and was becoming a soft target for a lot of people because I didn’t have a mentor in this industry.”
