Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ had started off as scheduled, but several issues cropped up for the team including monetary. Although, shooting will resume today with Bhushan Kumar of ‘T-Series’ taking over as a solo producer. Kumar and Prernaa Arora of ‘KriArj Entertainment’ were to produce the film jointly, but Arora has backed out of this film and another T-Series production ‘Fanne Khan’.
A source revealed, “The modalities have been worked out and the remaining remuneration of the actors will be paid. Bhushan has all the rights now and will be taking the film forward. There’s only one song left to be shot in Fanne Khan which will be filmed in the first week of June,” as according to Mirror.
Kumar confirmed the development, saying “Yes, I’m the sole producer on Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Shree Narayan along with his partner Nitin Chandrachud are the stakeholders. Prernaa is also no longer a part of Fanne Khan because of all the trouble happening around her. She wants to solve all these problems first before she gets back to making movies. I will now be producing both these films with my partners on it.”
‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ also stars Yami Gautam.
