Preity Zinta & Vir Das to star in ‘Fresh Off The Boat’ spin-off

Preity Zinta is all set to get back to work after a long time out. As per the latest reports, Zinta, along with actor and comedian Vir Das, have been roped in to guest star in a spin-off series to ABC’s much popular international show, ‘Fresh Off The Boat’ (2015).

The makers of ‘Fresh Off The Boat’ have been planning a spin-off for a a long time, reports Spotboye. The show is bbased on the lives of a Taiwanese-American, Florida-based family, including parents Louis and Jessica, their children Eddie, Emery, Evan and Louis’ mother Jenny.

The upcoming episode of this show will chronicle the lives of an Indian family, whose daughter is school friends with Eddie. While Zinta will be seen as the girl’s mother, Das will portray the role of her father. The spin-off, which has been tentatively titled ‘Magic Motor Inn,’ will reportedly be led by an introduction of its new characters. Rachna Fruchbom, who has written the episodes of ‘Fresh Off The Boat,’ will also be penning its spin-off.

The show is going to be produced by 20th Century Fox Television. Zinta’s last full-fledged appearance was in her maiden production, ‘Ishkq in Paris’ (2013).
