Preity Zinta hikes price for ‘YPD’ sequel

Preity Zinta who seems to be good friends with the Deol family has started to change her ways after being offered the lead role in the sequel of ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ (2011).

According to reports today, the happy-go-lucky actress quoted a mammoth fee to star in Deols` sequel to rom-com ��Yamla Pagla Deewana�۪.

A source said, “Since YPD was a superhit, Preity asked for a very high price when she was offered the role.”

However, Sangeeth Sivan, the director on board for the franchise refused to divulge any information about Preity�۪s remuneration. He said, ���They have kept it absolutely open; nothing is clear right now. I don�۪t want to comment on it.�۝

Incidentally, Zinta scored her first major hit with Bobby Deol in ‘Soldier’ (1998).
