Preity Zinta acquitted in cheque-bounce case

Abbas Tyrewala, who had written some lines for Preity Zinta’s production ‘Ishkq In Paris’ (2013), had filed a case against the actress-turned-producer owing to a bounced cheque. However, Zinta has now been acquitted in the same.

Deccan Chronicle quote Zinta’s lawyer, Hitesh Jain, as saying, “Zinta was acquitted in the case filed by script writer Abbas Tyrewala.”

Zinta’s lawyer argued that the cheque was not to be deposited until Zinta instructed. The judge considered this a valid point and thus acquitted the actress.

2016 is proving to be a good year thus-far for Zinta, who also recently got married.
