Preeya Kalidas to leave BBC Asian Network in new changes

Popular star Preeya Kalidas will be leaving the BBC Asian Network, its been confirmed.

Since joining the station in 2015, Kalidas has entertained listeners on Saturday afternoons with topical discussions, celebrity interviews and of course her stand-out music mixes which always set the mood for the weekend.

Kalidas will be leaving as a part of new changes on the BBC Asian Network starting on 1st March 2021. Others also departing from on-air duties include Eshaan, Sunil and Nim and Waqas.

The new changes will see the introduction of four new shows to the weekly schedule as part of Ahmed Hussain’s commitment to increasing British Asian representation and popular South Asian music culture across the station.
