Pratyusha Banerjee’s maid claims Rahul Raj Singh physically abused the actress

Pratyusha Banerjee 2

It’s been almost two weeks sincePratyusha Banerjee’s suicide made headlines, yet the investigations and dailyrevelations are making this one of the murkiest and shocking incidents of 2016. One of the latest updates on the case is that Banerjee’s maid has claimed the actress’ boyfriend would physically abuse the actress.

As reported by Pinkvilla, Banerjee’smaid has come forward to make astatement against Singh, strengthening the argument that he abused and tortured Banerjee to the point that she had no choice but to resort to suicide. It is alsostatedthat when Banerjeementioned marriage, Singh would avoid the topic.

Renu Singh, who had worked forthe 24 year-oldtelevision actressfor three months at her home, revealed,”When Rahul [Singh]was out, shewould narrate her ordeal to me. She would show me the injuries she got from Rahul۪s beatings. They would mostly fight over money matters. Rahul would often ask her for Rs 50,000 to 1 lakh even when she did not have the money. Rahul would also suspect her and doubt her. Pratyusha [Banerjee]۪s previous relationship with a businessman was another reason for many of their fights.”

Renu Singh evenclaims it was because of Banerjee-Singh’s tumultuous relationship that she ended up losingher job.

Speaking of an incident involvingRahul Raj Singh’s former girlfriend, Saloni Sharma, Singh added, “After letting herself in, she [Saloni Sharma] had a fight with Pratyusha and Rahul. Pratyusha thought Saloni got the key from me. I don’t know how she got it. I quit the job then and did not even get paid.”

After many witness reports and statements were taken from Pratyusha’s friends and family, Banerjee’s long-time boyfriend, Rahul Raj Singh, booked under a charge of abetment of suicide. The situation worsened for the television producer-actor when the sessions court rejected his anticipatory bail plea.

Along with the readers, we at BizAsia alsohope the mystery surrounding Banerjee’sdeathcan be resolved soon.
