Prasoon Joshi on Sunny Leone: “I wouldn’t encourage the profession…”

Sunny Leone

Sunny Leone۪s past is always a topic of discussion. Where Aamir Khan has said he would have no qualms about working with the ex adult star, lyricist Prasoon Joshi has said he wouldn۪t encourage her profession.

He was speaking at the 10thanniversary press meet of Rang De Basanti۪. Deccan Chronicle report Joshi stating, ”It’s not necessary that every profession is respectable, and if it’s not, it should be criticised too. A profession should in someway or the other contribute in a good way towards society. I don’t respect Sunny Leone’s profession at all and I wouldn’t want the youth to get inspired by that profession۝.

He went on to add, But to question her on her profession… I don’t think that should be done either. If the person is a drug dealer, that’s the person’s personal choice. Will I disrespect the person? No! Will I insult the person publicly? No! That probably my culture doesn’t allow. But at the same time, I wouldn’t encourage the profession either. Certain professions don’t play a constructive role in bringing up a great society, we need to criticise them as well. I think that’s a free society, people have choices to make. But if the choices are not great, then we need to criticise۝.

Leone last week was seen to keep her cool when having questions thrown at her by a journalist about her past.
