Prakash Jha: “I am going to make ‘Raajneeti 2’ next year”

‘Raajneeti’ (2010) saw much success as a political drama with a multi starcast. Filmmaker Prakash Jha has confirmed that the sequel will be made next year. Reportedly, the delay is due to Ranbir Kapoor’s packed diary.

“I am going to make Raajneeti 2 next year,” said Jha, according to Hindustan Times.

A source close to Kapoor confirmed the news, “Ranbir is shooting for Anurag Kashyap�۪s and Anurag Basu�۪s films as of now. As soon as he finishes them, he will start work on Imtiaz Ali�۪s next, followed by Ayan Mukerji�۪s film in the second half of the year. He hardly has any dates to accommodate other films in 2014”.

Kapoor was appreciated in his role in the 2010 original which also starred Arjun Rampal, Katrina Kaif and Ajay Devgn.
