Prachi Desai to romance Sanjay Dutt

TV turned Bollywood star, Prachi Desai will be seen romancing the much older Sanjay Dutt in ‘Cool Cop’ – the Hindi remake of Tamil flick ‘Saamy’.

The 23-year old actress will begin shooting with the 53-year old actor later this month in Hyderabad. Apparently, Desai is keen on working with established stars.

It won’t be the first time Desai will be paired with an older actor, she did it on her TV show ‘Kasamh Se’ few years ago romancing Ram Kapoor’s character – a much more senior actor. Furthermore, she has starred with Emraan Hashmi, Farhan Akhtar and Abhishek Bachchan, all of whom are in their 30s.

Producer T P Aggarwal told Mid-Day, “Prachi might come across as someone extremely young to be paired with Sanjay Dutt. But we wanted a girl who did not have the oomph factor in her. We wanted someone who could carry off the girl-next-door image well and who could be better than Prachi? She fitted the character just right.”
