With ‘Rowdy Rathore’ currently being filmed, Prabhu Deva recently took some time out to watch an Indian Premier League cricket match being played between the Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore. A clear supporter of the former, the multi-talented star spoke abouthis forthcoming film and the delights of working with both Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha.

I have always wanted to work with Akshay Kumar and he is simply superb. As for Sonakshi, one can never say that she is just two films old. She is very mature and is equal to that of an actress who has done 20 films”, he reveals, as reported by Deccan Herald. The movie is his second directorial venture in Bollywood, the first being ‘Wanted’ (2009) starring Salman Khan.

Reports have been doing the rounds about filming problems in Hampi and he is quick to dismiss the hoo-ha, “Such things are normal. One reaches a location, only to find out that there is a problem. I don۪t know why such a big fuss is being made about this.” It is thought the unit has since moved to Mysore to complete a song sequence.

Speaking about being a director, he comments, “I am comfortable directing. There is a lot of tension but I love it. My main aim has always been to entertain people…” The actor-choreographer-director has many Tamil movies to his name.

Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ronnie Screwvala, ‘Rowdy Rathore’ has Akshay Kumar in a double role and is a remake of Telugu film, ‘Vikramarkudu’ (2006).
