‘October’ star Banita Sandhu to return to London to complete studies

Soojit Sircar’s latest ‘October’ has been on the receiving end of immense praise for the film. His leading lady Banita Sandhu, who is from Wales, UK, has returned back to London to complete her studies.

Reported on Asian Age, Sandhu who has made her debut opposite Varun Dhawan, plays a character who battles comatose’s, says she’s happy to have had the experience. “October is so much more than a film for me. It’s an experience. This is slice-of-life cinema. I knew from the start that this was a special project, and I’m so happy to have been part of it.”

Sandhu expresses how much she is in awe of screenplay writer Juhi Chaturvedi. “Juhi’s writing is poetry on celluloid. She and Shoojit sir make magic together. It is very rare to find artistes like Shoojit sir and Juhi to work with.”

Taking a break from Bollywood, Sandhu will be getting back to her English Literature degree at Kings College London. “I am a perfectionist, so I want to get top grades. My graduation exams are in mid-May. After that I will finally be done.”

But once Sandhu’s studies are complete, she would love to get back in front of the camera. “The film set is home for me. So, yeah, if I get good films I’d consider them for sure. But, for me, quality is very important.”

BizAsiaLive.com wishes Sandhu all the best for her finals!
