Poonam Dhillon & Padmini Kolhapure set to grace ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs’
‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs’ on ZEE TV has been entertaining the audiences ever since its launch back in 2006. Since then it has continued to showcase the wonderful singing talent of children from all across India.
In upcoming episodes of the singing competition television series, audiences are going to get a taste of the golden era of Hindi cinema as evergreen beauties, Padmini Kolhapure and Poonam Dhillon are all set to make an appearance.
The actresses are reportedly going to be the ‘special guests’ in some forthcoming episodes, and the contestants will be seen charming them with iconic Hindi film numbers from the 70s and 80s. Whilst the songs will certainly be the highlight of the show, the two renowned actresses will go down the memory lane as they share some beautiful memories from their journeys in Hindi cinema.
Reminiscing her debut in Hindi cinema, Pinkvilla reveals Dhillon sharing, “I was studying in a school in Chandigarh when Yash Chopra discovered me and cast me for ‘Trishul’ (1978). He had just seen my photos and he came over to convince me and my parents. I was just 15 and a half at that time and my plan was to only complete this film and return to Chandigarh to resume my education. I had no plans of doing any film thereafter, but shortly after I returned to Chandigarh after having completed ‘Trishul’, he tempted me with an offer for ‘Noorie’(1979).”
Kolhapure will be seen gracefully performing to her iconic ‘Prem Rog’ (1982) song, ‘Yeh Galiyan Yeh Chaubara’ with host Manish Paul joining her on stage. She also reveals that the song was extremely special and close to her heart. With the two beauties spreading their golden charm, the upcoming episodes of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs’ are going to be filled with melodies, memories, and happiness.
The episodes will broadcast on the 29th and 30th of August on ZEE TV.
