Pooja Bhatt to pen book about being alcoholic?

She had once reigned the silver screen in the 90s until she found even more success in producing. However, little did anyone know that Pooja Bhatt was facing a major alcohol problem. Now sober for more than 14 months the filmmaker is set to write a book on her own experiences with the addiction.

Deccan Chronicle reports a source revealing, “The book, which has still not been titled, will widely speak about her journey through drinking and alcoholism. While Pooja and her father have never been to rehab to quit alcohol, they’ve frequently been spotted at Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, trying to talk to people on how to kick the bottle.”

Now with her father Mahesh Bhatt also having battled the same problem over 28 years ago, it seems he remains active in making sure he doesn’t go back.

Bhatt (Pooja) has been very vocal about her fight with alcohol addiction, taking to social media to reveal her progress.
