Mumbai police have confirmed that the green cloth which Sushant Singh Rajput allegedly used to hang himself is to be sent for “tensile strength” tests to determine whether it would’ve been able to take the actor’s weight.
An official also revealed to TOI, “Besides the viscera from the actor’s body, the police also sent the gown for chemical and forensic analysis at the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in suburban Kalina”. He said the final forensic report will be available in around three days.
The “tensile strength” test will apparently rule out any foul play in the 34-year-old actor’s death. The official added, “Usually, it takes eight to ten working days to get report from the FSL in regular cases. But since this case is sensitive, experts are taking more precautions to avoid any kind of error in their analysis”.
Singh Rajput died by suicide on 14th June.
