Veteran producer Anand Pandit along with the entire team of biopic ‘PM Narendra Modi’ have faced a tough time releasing the film in what they call ‘a classic case of Bollywood becoming a soft target at the hand of politicians’.
Having braved the storm and fought for justice, the team is gearing up for the release of the film on 24th May. On the eve of the release Pandit has made an appeal to the film fraternity. “Time and again art and creativity have faced challenges at the altar of politics. We, as the entertainment industry, are soft target. We must stand united to fight these challenges and back each other in such times.”
He added, “PM Narendra Modi – the film has not just been a cinematic journey but one that has personally been a struggle for justice. It is a time to be united as an industry and support a cinematic endeavour that has no agenda.”
Produced by Sandip Ssingh, Pandit and directed by biopic maestro Omung Kumar, this much-anticipated biopic comprising an ensemble cast has versatile actor Vivek Anand Oberoi in and as ‘PM Narendra Modi’.
Pandit is a producer with a prolific list of films. Having associated with films like ‘Total Dhamaal, ‘Baazaar’. The filmmaker has also been associated with ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2’, ‘Satyameva Jayate’, ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’, ‘Sarkar 3’ and ‘Missing’.
