A Plus gets aggressive with its prime time shows

On the back of Eid, most Pakistani channels have unleashed a slate of new shows, with A Plus Europe launching its own bundle of new offerings.

It has strengthened its weekday 20:00 slot with some of its big guns including ‘Mera Naam Yousaf Hai’ on Mondays, ‘Jannum’ on Tuesdays, ‘Bheegi Palkain’ on Wednesdays, ‘Gohar-e-Nayaab’ on Thursdays and ‘Intizar’ on Fridays. There’s also ‘Yeh Ishq Hai’ on Friday nights at 22:00.

A Plus Europe has picked up in UK ratings with its current weekly reach standing at 56,000 viewers, up from 33,000 viewers and 39,000 viewers in the preceding weeks. Furthermore, the channel has been gaining momentum with ‘Ghari Do Ghari’ at 22:00 pulling in 10,200 viewers on Saturday night. While, ‘Shikwa Nahi Kissi Say’ and ‘Bheegi Palkain’ also performing well for the channel on Thursday between 20:00 – 22:00.

With A Plus Europe leaving no stone unturned with its new shows, it remains to be seen how viewers will respond to the changes.
