A Plus Europe announces huge Ramadan line-up

The UK’s newest Pakistani entertainment channel, A Plus Europe has announced one of the biggest Ramadan programming line-ups on a UK Asian channel, starting later this month.

The channel, which is handled by Evolution Media Network in the UK, has branded its Ramadan specials as ‘Ittehad Ramzan’. It will celebrate the diversity of the Muslim World while reflecting the unmatched Unity. Its transmission will depict how Ramadan is celebrated across different Muslim countries through a larger than life transmission. The channel’s coverage will span across the 30 Muslim cities, with 30 celebrities fronting each territory including Iran, Azerbaijan, Tanzania, Morocco, Kenya, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey, Bosnia, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

A Plus Europe has signed up huge Pakistani artists to lend support to the channel’s Ramadan coverage. Some of the names confirmed are Mekaal Zulfiqar, Sarwat Gillani, Humayun Saeed, Sohai Ali Abroo, Syra Shahroze, Usman Khalid Butt, Imran Abbas, Mohib Mirza, Adnan Siddiqui, Faisal Qureshi, Ayesha Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Aamna Sheikh, Shahroz Sabzwari, Aiza & Taimur, Aly Khan, Ahsan Khan, Ahmed Ali Butt, Shamoon Alvi, Ainny Jaffri Rahman, Moammar Rana, Maya Ali, Feroze Khan, Sajal Ali, Asim Azhar, Agha Ali, Abrar-ulHaq, Bahroze Sabzwari, Fakhr-e-Alam, Adnan Malik, Iftikhar Ahmed, Aftab Iqbal, Kaiser Khan and Hamid Mir.

Popular Pakistani television presenter, Dr Shaista Lodhi will host the Ramadan coverage on the channel over the 30 days. As well as Lodhi, Khalid Malik, Junaid Akram, Ali Safina, will also help out with presenting duties.

The special segments during the coverage will include Naat – Harf e Aqeedat, Travelogue – Aik hain Hum, Celebrity – Khair Ki Baat, Q&A with Ulema – Ulema, Hamaray Saath and Live Kitchen -Rizk aik Nemat.

In an exclusive for the channel, popular singer Atif Aslam has recorded a special song to mark the occasion called ‘Qaseeda Burda Shareef’. The song will be treated as a soundtrack to the ‘Ittehad Ramzan’. It will air on the channel and digital platforms from Wednesday 10th May.
