Plea against Salman Khan & Shilpa Shetty rejected by court

A petition against Salman Khan and Shilpa Shetty had recently been applied to a court in Ludhiana, on the basis of having used derogatory words from a particular community, causing members to take offence.

As New Indian Express reports, the plea explains how Khan and Shetty used the word ‘bhangi’ to describe themselves. Khan referred to this word when expressing his dance skills, whereas Shetty used it when talking about her appearance at home.

Both of these incidents caused outraged and humiliation to members of the Valmiki community, however the court had rejected the petition.
