Pete Mukerjea, ex-television executive, has been charged with murder, destruction of evidence and criminal conspiracy by the Central Bureau of Investigation in the Sheena Bora murder case.
NDTV reports that the bureau submitted a 500-page charge-sheet against Mukerjea to a Mumbai court today.
The article states that Mukerjea spoke to his wife and prime accused in the murder, Indrani Mukerjea, on 24th April at around 12:24 PM for 1329 seconds and again at 1:36 PM for 242 seconds and that they exchanged messages as well. Ms Mukerjea again spoke to Peter Mukerjea for 924 seconds after Ms Bora’s body was disposed of the next day.
Mukerjea was arrested on 19th November last year for his alleged role in the case.
It is reported that Mukerjea’s daughter, Sheena Bora was allegedly strangled in a car in April 2012 and her body was burnt and dumped in a forest.
Peter was the former CEO of Star TV and later founded 9X Media.
