Personalised Playlists added to Sky Glass & Sky Stream
As BizAsia reported last month, Sky have today announced the launch of Personalised Playlists on its television service Sky Glass and Sky Stream.
With Personalised Playlist – Sky’s answer to profiles. viewers can create up to five playlists. For families, individual playlists will be possible for each family member and a shared playlist for the whole family to choose from.
The new update called Entertainment OS 1.1 will bring Personalised Playlists, a new ’Play’ voice command, more ways to find content from favourite actors and directors, as well as enhanced Bluetooth features. The updates will be available to all customers by 4th February.

Sky Glass sales “underperforming”
On Sky Glass, it will also be possible to listen via Bluetooth headphones at the same time as Sky Glass’ speakers are playing. It means customers who are hard of hearing can listen with their headphones while watching with the rest of their household.
Currently it is not clear if Sky Q customers will be receiving these updates.
