‘Pehredaar Piya Ki’ to return for second season

After its shocking end, Sony Entertainment Television’s controversial show ‘Pehredaar Piya Ki’ vows to return for a second season.

The show, which aired its final episode on Monday night, came to an abrupt end due to negativity from viewers. According to Bollywood Life report, the producer of ‘Pehredaar Piya Ki’ is planning to return with the show soon. Sumit Mittal who heads Shashi Sumeet Productions said, “No, these reports are absolutely wrong. Taking the show off air was a mutual decision between us and broadcasters. We are very much working on the story right now. We are developing the content for an earlier time slot. Due to the late time slot, we decided to shut off the show and come back with a renewed story, which would answer all the objections that viewers had from the concept.”

The show is set to make a comeback with a tweaked story to ensure its suitable for primetime viewing. Mittal added, “Yes, it is 100 percent, we will be back soon.”
