Pawan Malhotra’s important role in ‘Judwaa 2’

Pawan Malhotra, the versatile actor who has as performed in superb films such as ‘Salim Langde Pe Mat Ro’ (1899), Jab We Met’ (2007) and ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ (2013) will now be seen on the big screen trying to catch Varun Dhawan in ‘Judwaa 2’.

This sequel to David Dhawan’s, Salman Khan starrer ‘Judwaa’ (1997) is going to have audiences falling off the edge of your seats in laughter. Malhotra who plays the central character of a police officer told Deccan Chronicle, “Yes, this film is a remake of Judwaa but being a David Dhawan film, it has to have innumerable gags. The film will have a freshness that the audience will identify with.”

With parts of the film already shot in London, the remainder is set to be filmed at Mumbai’s Film City over the next few weeks, ready for its release in September 2017.

Malhotra went on to talk about his experience of working first time with the charming Varun, “I’ve known him since his childhood. But this is the first time I am getting to work with his father, director David Dhawan. I was offered various roles in his earlier films, too. Due to unavoidable circumstances, we could not work together. Playing the role of a police officer with the foreign lady police officer was indeed fun. The story is like the good ol’ cop-thief tale.”

As Varun is playing a double role in this frolicsome action-comedy, Malhotra gave a sneak peek into the anticipated action scene on everyone lips, “We are running after Varun, but are we chasing the right Varun in a stadium is the million-dollar question. For this, you will simply have to wait and watch the movie.”

This mischievous sequel to the cult Khan starrer joins the list in being one of the most awaited films of the year.
