BizAsiaLive.com has learnt that the ever popular Parth Samthaan is being considered for Rashmi Sharma’s next show which could see him as the male lead in a TV version of Chetan Bhagat’s novel ‘2 States’.

A film version was made in 2014, starring Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, which was very successful and Sharma has decided to make the same story for TV. Samthaan would, obviously, play the male lead and it’s also being said that Tanya Sharma from ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya’ could be opposite him, according to Bollywood Life.

The show would be made for Star Bharat which Life Ok will soon be changing to. As such, the channel is thought to be revamping all the current shows.

Samthaan was appreciated in MTV’s ‘Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan’ but has, most recently, been embroiled in a legal case with Vikas Gupta, his former mentor.
