Parth Samthaan to play Anurag in ‘Kasautii Zindagi Kay’?

With rumours surrounding the male in the second season of ‘Kasautii Zindagi Kay’ doing the rounds, the latest name to crop is Parth Samthaan.

It now seems certain that Samthaan will bag the role. Producer Ekta Kapoor took to Twitter earlier to deny reports that an older actor has been finalised. Names such as Barun Sobti, Ssharad Malhotra and Shaheer Sheikh have been speculated about. With Samthaan being the youngest of the lot, Kapoor could sign up the actor for the show opposite Erica Fernandes.

A source told Indian Express, “Ekta and the team had a tough time finding the perfect Anurag. A lot of actors were in contention but the rebooted show required a young face. After numerous look tests and auditions, the team finally zeroed on Parth. The actor was finalised last night and an official announcement will happen soon. While Erica has already shot for the first teaser, a promo with Hina and Parth will also be released soon.”

Kapoor had tweeted earlier, “None of d names floating can be d lead for kasauti as all r way past their prime !!! It’s a reboot of a ‘ young( mid twenties) love story”

She followed it by, “The lead Anurag cannot b over thirty playing twenty four na?”
