Parineeti refused ‘Gustaakhiyaan’ because of Priyanka?

News about Parineeti Chopra refusing Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gustaakhiyaan’, the biopic on Amrita Pritam and Sahir Ludhianvi, came out a week ago. Although the actress is thought to have had date issues, it’s now emerged that cousin Priyanka Chopra might have been the cause of her turning down the film.

“Parineeti had a chat with Priyanka as well, since she had refused the film, due to her busy schedule in Bollywood, Hollywood and her TV shows. Priyanka told her to see if she wanted to take on such a challenging role early in her career. Parineeti then cited date issues and refused the film,” said a source, according to Asian Age.

Parineeti’s spokesperson wasn’t forthcoming regarding this but said, “Parineeti is currently committed to doing only Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and Namastey Canada. As and when she finalises more projects, they will be announced”.

The actress’s recent release ‘Golmaal Again’ is doing well at the box office.
