Parineeti Chopra talks about her weight loss journey

Professionally, 2014 was not the best year for Parineeti Chopra. ��The talented actress featured in films which failed to spark at the Box Office and has not been seen on the big screen for quite some time. ��She��says she has spent this time focusing on her personal fitness.

Speaking to��Hindustan Times, Chopra said, “I was so busy last year that I didn�۪t get the time to work on myself. I neglected my heath, but now, I make sure I take care of it… I�۪m doing a form of Kerala martial arts called Kalaripayattu. I do it every day for an hour. It has made me more flexible, stronger, and has also helped build my stamina… Initially, all my meals used to be cheat meals. Everything I ate was wrong. But now, I have created a balance… I wanted to feel energetic, but I was just constantly tired…We always aim to get thin. But that�۪s not enough… I was unfit and overweight. Now as I am losing weight and getting fitter,” she adds.”

Apparently it was her mentor, Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films, who advised the actress to to take a break from the big screen post a spate of unsuccessful films last year.

It is still not known if the actress has signed any projects but she is rumoured to star in Sameer Sharma’s ‘Jugalbandi’ opposite Saif Ali Khan.
