She is an out-and-out YashRaj find but there it something very dazzling about Parineeti Chopra. The actress who made her debut just last year has anunmatchabletwinkle in her eye and a talent which so many have praised. Having Priyanka Chopra as a cousin must have some affect on her, surely?

Chopra spoke tothe Times of India about herrivalry with PC senior, “She is six years elder to me and went to America. By the time she returned to India, she got busy with Miss India. So, we never had to time to really fight with each other”. Chopra has swept the most promising debut awards across the board for the performance in ‘Ladies vs Ricky Bahl’ (2011).

When asked about whether she feels the pressure on her to perform and succeed weighs heavy, she comments, “I never entered the film industry with any expectation. I wanted to be a banker. Being praised by people and having a superstar as a cousinis a major boost for me. The fact that people are having expectations from me means that they have trust in my talent.”

Talking about rumours that Salman Khan has given more accolades to her co-star Arjun Kapoor than her for ‘Ishaqzaade’,Chopra clarifies, “That’s been misconstrued a bit. Arjun admits that Salman Khan is his mentor. He is very close to him… He has praised both of us. If someone like him says I am good, it’s great motivation for me.”

‘Ishaqzaade’ releases on Friday 11th May and is a romantic drama in a political setting.
