Parineeti Chopra dismisses new link-up rumours

Parineeti Chopra has laughed off latest link-up rumours. Chopra who is more than used to having her personal life questioned, remains adamant she will keep her privacy.

Reported in the Deccan Chronicle, Chopra who is gearing up for the release of her film, ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ has been linked with many names in the past such as, Maneesh Sharma, who launched her career with ‘Ladies vs Ricky Bahl’ (2011), Arjun Kapoor and Uday Chopra. But even more recently she has apparently been seen with a mystery man in Dubai, Charit Desai, assistant director for Dharma Productions and as if that wasn’t bad enough, even being linked with her female best friend Sanjana Batra, who is also Chopra’s stylist.

In response to the rumours, Chopra said in an interview with Hindustan Times, “While it’s a little funny because a month or two back, my best friend, Sanjana and I had gone to Dubai and when I came back, they linked me with her. There was an article about me and Sanjana saying, ‘Are they more than friends?’ Now, a month or so later, this (a new rumour) has come out. I am used to such rumours. It’s fine. I will, as always, never talk about my personal life. I will let it be.”

Further adding, “Yes, there have been many names (laughs) such as Sanjana, Maneesh Sharma and more. So, everyone is there in my life. It’s okay; I will only talk about my work and that’s how it will remain.”

Chopra confirmed that she is single, “I am single. I am not dating Sanjana or anyone else.”

Slamming the media for constantly interfering with her personal life, Chopra said, “You guys are only hearing about it while I have been experiencing it. Whether there’s someone in my personal life or not, I have decided that I won’t ever talk about it because they write absolute s***t, and they talk about people who aren’t used to being in the news. Earlier, it used to be Uday (Chopra; actor), then Maneesh and now Sanjana. So, I have been linked with boys as well as girls now. And they are all non-actors. It’s not fair. I have decided that just because I am friends with people, their lives shouldn’t be affected. So, I will not say anything. People don’t understand that it affects our personal lives and also our friendships with people. But I don’t want to get angry. It’s okay, you guys do your job and I will do mine (laughs).”
