‘Paramavatar Shri Krishna’ to replace ‘Gangaa’ on &TV

BizAsiaLive.com exclusively revealed last week that show ‘Gangaa’ on &TV was set to get axed, we now confirm that mythological series ‘Paramavatar Shri Krishna’ from mid-June.

Viewers may recall that sister channel, ZEE TV had aired a few teasers of the same show a few months ago. However, it has now come to know that the programme has been shifted to &TV as its new weekday flagship property.

‘Paramavatar Shri Krishna’ will see Vishal Karwal play the role of Vishnu in the show. As cited in India.com, Karwal said, “It is said that Krishna is one of the many avatars of Vishnu. So, in a way, I have graduated with this role. I think the mythology genre has its own charm and I can’t explain the burst of energy I feel while shooting for a mythology show. We have all grown up hearing stories about Lord Krishna and for me, he was no less than a superhero. It feels great to be a part of a show that will portray the making of a superhero.”

Abhishek Nigam will play the role of Lord Krishna, while four-year old Nirnay Samadhiya will depict the role of younger Krishna.

‘Paramavatar Shri Krishna’ launches on Monday 19th June at 20:00 (UK) and 20:30 (India) on &TV.
