Listeners of Panjab Radio have helped Madame Tussauds London choose their next Bollywood wax figure at the star-studded museum.
Bollywood actresses Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif have been shortlisted. Following a phenomenal response with over 225,000 votes registered on Madame Tussauds’ website, the winner will be announced very soon.
One of the stars from above will join Bollywood stalwarts such as Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan in a colourful themed set in 2015.
A statement from the company said, “Before we declare who the winner is to the world, we want to be polite and inform the winner herself first so please bear with us while we get in touch and ensure she is able to be personally involved in the figure making process from the beginning. We’ll update you as soon as we can, so watch this space! If the winner is available, she will attend a sitting۪ where 500 precise body and facial measurements are taken. This gives our expert sculptors all the information they need to create a strikingly realistic figure. A typical figure takes around four months to make and utilises a team of around 20 skilled artists, costing 150,000.”
