Panjab Radio expands DAB coverage in Punjabi communities

Panjab Radio will expand its DAB digital radio services to seven new areas across England starting on 2nd June. The expansion will cover Derby, Royal Leamington Spa, Nottingham, Wolverhampton, Shropshire, Telford, Coventry, and surrounding regions.

The move aims to enhance access to Panjab Radio’s programming, which includes news, music, religious content, and community discussions, tailored to the interests of Panjabi audiences. The station broadcasts 24/7 and seeks to serve as a cultural and informational hub for the Punjabi community in the UK.

With a significant Panjabi population in the newly added areas, the expansion is expected to increase the station’s reach and listener engagement. Panjab Radio is accessible via DAB digital radio, as well as through its mobile app, website, and social media platforms.

“As a station that has been at the heart of the Panjabi community for decades, we understand the importance of staying informed, connected and entertained. Expanding our DAB digital services to these key cities and towns means more families, businesses and individuals can rely on Panjab Radio for music, news and conversations that matter to them,” said Mr Surjit Singh Ghuman MBE, founder of Panjab Radio.
