Pallavi Joshi quits ZEE TV’s Antakshari

ZEE TV’s most popular gameshow Antakshari will see a radical change in the next couple of weeks. It’s long running presenter Palaavi Joshi has quit due to other work commitments.

Eleven years on, this show on ZEE, which is also the longest running musical programme on Indian television and the third in the world, has had a string of female anchors along with Annu Kapoor.

Sagarika will replace Pallavi Joshi as co-anchor. Sagarika, who had done a show earlier for Music Asia, says, “This will provide me with a chance to reach out to a wider audience base. As a singer I have this very urbane image. Antakshari, hopefully, will also help me in my singing career.” Joshi opted out of the show “because they couldn?t wait for the shoot schedule. I was busy with my commitments for the soap Kkehna Hai Kuch Mujhko and they wanted to shoot immediately for the new series,” says Joshi. “There was no way I could have managed both,” she adds.
