Pakistani actors to finish schedule of Sridevi’s ‘Mom’?

With the tension between India and Pakistan having become more sensitive after the attacks in Uri, actors from Pakistan who were signed on to Hindi films, found it difficult getting their visas approved. With things mellowing, news has it that both Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddiqui have final got their stamp of approval, in order for them to finish shooting for their forthcoming Sridevi production ‘Mom’.

Also starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna, the shooting had been scheduled in Delhi and Georgia. There was only the last part of the film’s climax and a song to be shot when the attacks in Uri occurred. Mumbai Mirror reports a source expressing, ” It’s been about four months since the team has been waiting to wrap up the final schedule. In September, following the Uri attacks and the surgical strikes, Sajal and Adnan’s visas were rejected several times.”

“Now they have obtained a visa for a month and will be flying to Delhi to shoot the final scenes and a song in February. The team is planning to wrap up the schedule by February 14 and release the film by May this year,” they went on to add.

Directed by Ravi Udyawar, the film is said to based on a mother-daughter relationship.
