Geo TV has claimed victory over its rivals in Pakistan, with a strong performance from its prime time fictions, according to data from Kantar Media Pakistan.
Geo TV has been riding high on the back of superhit shows ‘Bharosa Pyar Tera’ and ‘Piya Naam Ka Diya’. On Wednesday 28th August, the channel registered a rating of 82 GRPs for its output between 19:00 – 22:00 (Piya Naam Ka Diya, Meray Mohsin and ‘Bharosa Pyar Tera).

During the same time slot, rivals ARY Digital raked in 80 GRPs and Hum TV with 43 GRPs.
Similarly in the UK, BizAsiaLive.com reported that Geo TV registered a whopping share of 0.09% – on par with Sony TV at No.2 and behind market leader Star Plus with a share of 0.17&. In the UK, ‘Bharosa Pyar Tera’ also proved a huge success with a record 50,400 viewers at 21:00, earlier in the evening ‘Piya Naam Ka Diya’ registered 37,100 viewers at 19:00 and ‘Meray Mohsin’ at 20:00 with 19,200 viewers.
