Pakistan Fashion Week ties-up with BizAsia.co.uk

For the first time, London Pakistan Fashion Week has teamed up with the UK’s only Asian media news website, BizAsia.co.uk for its huge event, next month.

This is a unique event which will span over three days and will commence on Friday 23rd September ending with a spectacular finale on the Sunday 25th. Kensington Town Hall is the chosen venue and platform for Pakistan Fashion Week organised by Riwayat.

A press release from Syra Munir of Pakistan Fashion Week said, “Pakistan is no stranger to the Fashion Week scene. Karachi has been showcasing their own successfully for a few years and Lahore launched their first official fashion week in 2010. This was a spectacular event which was well attended by press from around the globe.

The backdrop of London as a location to host Pakistan Fashion Week is designed to bring the profile of these designers to the UK buyers market and generally enhance the reputation of Pakistani fashion as in recent years this-has taken a turn from the traditional dress shalwar kameez. Design is more experimental, daring as boundaries are being pushed to the edge not to mention a style of clothing that speaks to the west whilst retaining its identity with the east.

A country with a huge textile industry has produced some notable not to mention cutting edge designers. Prominent designers such as Rana Noman, Naushemian, Emran Rajpoot, Ishtiaque, Zainab sajid, Zaheer Abbas, Akif mehmood, Mohsin Ali, Ayesha F Haswani, The Designers Multi brand Store, Aeisha Varsey, Kumash, Wardah Saleem, Chic, Amna Farhan, Lakhani Textiles and Adnan Pardesy are just few of the names that are participating at Pakistan Fashion Week in September.”

The first day will be inaugural red carpet and gala celebration followed by two days of fashion shows.

Talking about the Pakistan Fashion Week and its association with BizAsia.co.uk, Sahiba Kaur, Riwayat’s Chief Events Co-ordinator said, “Pakistan Fashion Week London is set to become an important fixture in the London fashion scene, showcasing the top design talent from Pakistan. We are proud to be associated with BizAsia.co.uk in hosting this prestigious event.”

BizAsia.co.uk is the proud official media partner for the event. Raj Baddhan, Co-Founder of BizAsia.co.uk said, “It gives me great pleasure to partner up with Riwayat, which is already a prominent name in the UK fashion field. It۪s the first time BizAsia.co.uk has partnered with a fashion brand like this but as the website grows, we want both parties to mutually benefit from the size of one another’s brands.”

ARY Digital and Asian Woman magazine are also other media partners for the event.

Tickets start from 20.00. Details are available from the event’s official website www.pakistanfashionweek.co.uk.
